The National Law Enforcement Academy (NLEA) shall provide law enforcement agencies with education opportunities that are of the highest standard in order to facilitate the delivery of professional public safety services.

The Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) has offered traditional in-house training as well as over one hundred continuing education classes across the Midwest to law enforcement professionals since 1994. The newly formed National Law Enforcement Academy (NLEA) has emerged as the national face of SLEA providing web-based opportunities to law enforcement professionals across the country.

Through the delivery of Basic Recruit Training certified by the State of Illinois and Continuing Education programs, NLEA, along with SLEA, will provide law enforcement officers and support personnel across the country with the necessary foundation for career development through both web-based continuing education training as well as traditional in-house training.

Staff and faculty will work to train the police officers who protect and defend our fellow citizens while preserving and enhancing traditional American freedoms.
